Iran has been a country that we wanted to visit for so long.
An unknown country, which is not seen by many people as a holiday destination.
People who had visited the country told us all very enthusiastic stories, what made us even more curious.
We thought it was a great opportunity that we were asked to make a travel report for Holland Herald. And to try to show something more of the daily life of today's Iranians in addition to all the beautiful historical buildings.
We first visited Teheran which we also mentioned as a destination on travel-report.
Vanuit Teheran vliegen we naar Kermanshah in het westen van Iran.
Daar logeren we in een caravanserai.
kermanshah - palangan - sanandaj - tabriz - kandovan - shiraz - penepolis - abarkooh - yazd - esfehan
For us the journey was very special, because we traveled with Neda Kazemi, our fantastic guide, who literally translated almost every conversation or chat we had with Iranians. Small talk or more serious ones in the taxi or anywhere else, was almost simultaneously translated by her, so we really had the idea that we were part of the Iranian life and learn a little more about them.
Neda Kazemi is onze gids tijdens onze rondreis door iran. Zij heeft een Iraanse vader en een Nederlandse moeder.
